Help us kick off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with this virtual event.
We will analyze intimate partner violence, such as traumatic brain injuries and strangulation, and how to get help for yourself or someone you know.
Grab the book “If I Am Missing or Dead” by Janine Latus, then join us every Wednesday night in October at 6 pm on the Pillars Community Health Facebook page for a live discussion.
In honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we will be hosting a live virtual movie showing of Roll Red Roll in partnership with Dominican University.
We will examine the intersections of racism, colonialism, and genocide in this discussion about domestic violence and indigenous survivors.
We’ll discuss common emotional, cognitive, physical, and spiritual responses to trauma and how and why survivors of intimate partner violence often develop Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
