Walk with a Doc is a free community walking program that welcomes people of all ages and fitness levels. During each walk, local physicians and healthcare professionals share practical, evidence-based health tips, answer questions, and walk alongside participants in a relaxed, supportive environment, fostering community connection.
It’s a simple way to get moving, connect with neighbors, and learn strategies to improve your health, empowering you to take control of your wellness journey.
As part of OptWell’s mission to inspire wellness throughout Chicago’s western suburbs, Walk with a Doc promotes the everyday habits that have the greatest impact on long-term health. Each walk encourages regular movement while reinforcing OptWell’s five healthy habits: Eat Well, Get Moving, Mental Wellness, Quality Sleep, and Manage Health. Together, these evidence-based habits can help reduce the risk of chronic disease and support a healthier, happier life.
