Join us for a Lunch N Learn virtual event about the neurobiology of trauma. Our Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault educators will explore how the brain responds to traumatic events, and why we instinctively and automatically react with the fight, flight, or freeze reflex when experiencing danger. Additionally, we will focus on Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Rape Trauma Syndrome – mental health conditions that survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault often experience as a result of their traumatic experiences.
