By sharing different representations of bereavement, Speaking Grief illustrates that there is no "right" way to grieve, and empowers those who want to help family or friends work through grief. In honor of Children's Grief Awareness Month, we will be hosting a viewing of Speaking Grief, followed by a live panel discussion.

Speaking Grief explores the experience of losing a family member in a grief-avoidant society. This documentary aims to start a discussion about grief and coping with death. By sharing different representations of bereavement, Speaking Grief illustrates that there is no “right” way to grieve, and empowers those who want to help family or friends work through grief. In honor of Children’s Grief Awareness Month, we will be hosting a viewing of Speaking Grief in partnership with Missing Pieces and Willow House, followed by a live panel discussion with Kristin James (Missing Pieces), Lauren Wozniak (Willow House), Michelle Halm (Pillars Community Health) and Anna Padron Sikora (Pillars Community Health).
This event is great for professionals who work with children, including school administrators, educators, pediatricians, nurses, faith leaders, and others.
