When you’re in the midst of an emergency or coping with the aftermath of trauma, it’s important to be able to get help quickly. Pillars Community Health has been offering Crisis Intervention Services since 1976. Our Crisis Team helps stabilize personal and family emergencies and sudden traumas that impact entire communities. These services are available in English and Spanish at NO COST to the client or community.

Pillars Community Health’s 24-hour Crisis Intervention Services help stabilize personal and family emergencies involving suicidal and homicidal behavior, severe aggression toward others, mental illness, and family conflict. Our Crisis Team also helps clients cope with a recent loss, address substance abuse issues, provide support amid sudden traumas that affect entire communities, work with law enforcement managing a crisis, and counsel students and faculty when there is a death or major incident in the community or school.

If you or someone you know needs immediate help, call our mental health crisis line at 708-PILLARS (708-745-5277) and follow the prompts to speak to a crisis worker.

Crisis workers are available 24 hours a day through our mental health crisis hotline:

(708-745-5277)

You can also call the CARES hotline at 800-345-9049 if you or someone you know is currently presenting in crisis and demonstrates at least one of the following risk factors: aggressive behavior with a plan or the means to carry out a plan that is likely to cause harm to self or others, even if that is not the intent; suicidal or homicidal behavior with a plan or the means to carry out the plan; or psychotic or displaying dissociative behaviors that are likely to require hospitalization to stabilize or prevent harm to self or others.

The crisis worker can help the individual and/or family make a plan to help the individual remain in the community or assist with inpatient psychiatric referrals.
