Countryside, IL – October 14, 2025 – The Board of Directors of Pillars Community Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Lisa LoBianco as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer. She will begin her tenure on October 20, 2025, working alongside the current CEO, Angela Curran, until Curran’s retirement on November 21, 2025.
This leadership transition follows a comprehensive national search launched in May and reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to advancing its mission of delivering whole-person care and helping individuals and families overcome barriers to accessing that care.
LoBianco brings more than two decades of experience in community health leadership, having served in executive and various leadership roles at organizations including Chicago Family Health Center, Erie Family Health Center, Lawndale Christian Health Center, and Cook County Health. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Chicago Family Health Center, where she oversaw integrated medical, dental, and behavioral health services.
Recognized for her commitment to health equity, integrated care models, organizational development, and community partnerships, LoBianco has consistently championed access to high-quality, patient-centered care.
“I am honored to join Pillars Community Health as President and CEO,” said LoBianco. “Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to advancing equitable, high-quality health care that strengthens individuals, families, and communities. PCH’s integrated model—combining health care, behavioral health, and social services—is truly inspiring, ensuring that people not only receive medical care but also access critical supports such as domestic violence and social services. I look forward to working alongside our dedicated board, staff, and partners to build on PCH’s strong foundation, expand access, and ensure that every person we serve is met with compassion and dignity.”
During Curran’s 18-year tenure, Pillars Community Health achieved significant milestones:
- Guided a successful merger that expanded services and reach;
- Led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic;
- Oversaw the remodel of Constance Morris House, enhancing support for survivors of domestic violence;
- Expanded health and social service offerings;
- Opened a new integrated health center;
- Achieved both Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) status; and
- Positioned the organization for long-term sustainability.
“Angela has been a steady and strategic leader whose impact on Pillars Community Health will be felt for years to come,” said Alexandra Normington, PCH Board Chair. “We are deeply grateful for her vision, tenacity, and passion. At the same time, we are delighted to welcome Lisa, whose expertise and values closely align with our mission. We are confident she will guide us into a strong and vibrant future.”
LoBianco’s appointment ensures seamless leadership.
