Consider a Director of Crisis Services position in a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) with a dedicated team that ensures compliance for our 24/7/365 hotline for our crisis programs.  This is a dynamic workspace that provides clinical support and services to those in most need.

The Director of Mobile Crisis Response at Pillars Community Health is a great opportunity for an experienced leader in Mobile Crisis Response/SASS, where you can contribute to the development of Team Based Care and an Integrated Service delivery model for an organization that provides services as a CMHC, Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), and for Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault services. It is a leadership opportunity to broaden our crisis footprint across the organization and help further develop our work as part of being a Certified Community Behavioral Health Center (CCBHC).

The start of 2025 has been incredibly exciting as we launched our new strategic plan. Through this plan we are redesigning our care delivery system to a team-based model to better achieve our mission of providing whole person care. Our desire is to ensure welcoming, integrated, coordinated, and open access to care. As a strong part of our Open Access department, the Mobile Crisis Team helps lead the way for clients to get all the services they need.

Along with a team-based approach, Pillars Community Health is enhancing data platforms and telehealth services to ensure broader overall access to services. We are also working towards standardizing the use of evidence-based practices and data-informed decision making. Through this, we will strengthen and sustain the organization’s workforce, services, financial position, and facilities.

Core responsibilities of the position

As Director, you will oversee our Mobile Crisis/SASS Response Team and program, ensuring 24/7 in-person support. You will be a part of a high-impact leadership team that values innovation, compassion, and collaboration, committed to breaking down barriers to mental health access and strengthening our crisis services.

You will lead with vision and accountability, managing all components of our crisis services programs including staffing, compliance, budgets, productivity, and service excellence. The director will build and support strong teams, providing clinical and administrative supervision that fosters development, promotes resiliency, and ensures fidelity to the best standards of care.

To further our team-based care, you will collaborate across departments and systems, including partnerships with schools, police, hospitals, and community partners to enhance accessibility and continuity of care. You will also develop and implement CQI processes to oversee goals and objectives of the program.

With this position, you will have a hybrid work schedule and work at least three days on-site each week. We are looking for someone who can be flexible with work hours and maintain a regular schedule that is based on the needs of the program including working occasional evenings on-site to provide support and training for staff.

The position also provides crisis intervention consultation services in person or by telephone to staff on a rotating on call schedule with program supervisors. On-call responsibilities include consultation for coverage overnight, on weekends, and holidays.

Your Education & Experience

Master’s in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field. You are a licensed clinical leader (LCPC, LCSW, LMFT) with at least two (2) years of experience in Mobile Crisis Response/SASS which must include Mobile Crisis Response-Team (590 experience).

Additionally, you must have experience providing clinical and administrative supervision. Experience working as a program administrator or coordinator is also required where your responsibilities included managing a program, supervisors, and staff.

Must maintain a safe driving record and have a current valid Illinois Driver’s License and vehicle. Personal vehicle needed for transportation to/from community and home-based interventions. Mileage for authorized work-related purposes is reimbursable.

PAY & BENEFIT INFORMATION

Salary range: $75,000 – $90,000 *

*Based on one’s experience and qualifications as compared with our position requirements and other similar employees within the organization.
