Our 8 Week Sessions are an opportunity for peer-to-peer grief support as well as grief education. While children and teens engage in goal-oriented activities, parents and caregivers participate in a group focused on understanding children's grief and how to support their children.

The Fall 2024 8-Week Session of Buddy’s Place, a childhood grief program designed to support children and families who have experienced the loss of a loved one. This free, support program provides a safe space for children ages 4-18 and their families to share their experiences, process their grief, and find hope and healing.
Session Details:
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Dates: Tuesday evenings: September 10, 17, 24. October 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.
- Time: 6:15-7:30 pm
- Location: Western Springs
Throughout the session, participants will engage in age-appropriate activities and discussions led by trained facilitators, focusing on coping strategies, emotional expression, and the importance of remembering loved ones. Buddy’s Place offers a compassionate community where families can connect with others who understand the unique challenges of grief.
