Pillars Community Health dates back to 1921 in downtown La Grange. In celebration of our 100th anniversary, we will be sharing newspaper articles, photos, and other documents from our archives, revealing what life was like in La Grange in the 20th century (including bedside nursing in the 1920’s, Depression-era advocacy, how mental health deinstitutionalization impacted La Grange, the advent of the area’s first domestic violence shelter, and more).
