Join Pillars Community Health for a professional learning opportunity focused on the intersection of disability and domestic violence.

This presentation will help service providers better understand how disability can increase vulnerability to abuse, recognize barriers survivors with disabilities may face when seeking support, and explore strategies for providing accessible, trauma-informed, survivor-centered services.

This free presentation is open to service providers, PCH staff, social workers, nurses, advocates, behavioral health professionals, students, and community members interested in learning more.

Kelley Manges

Kelley Manges, MS, ICDVP

Domestic Violence Community Outreach Advocate

Pillars Community Health

Kelley Manges holds a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University and a Master of Science from Lewis University. She is a Domestic Violence Community Outreach Advocate with Pillars Community Health and an Illinois Certified Domestic Violence Professional (ICDVP).

Lee mas

Kelley has worked at Pillars Community Health for nearly three years and describes it as a place that “fits like a glove.” She loves her work and is passionate about public speaking, running, and advocating for people in underserved communities.

Kelley is a fierce advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence, as well as people who have caused harm. She has also spent a lifetime advocating for children and adults with disabilities. She is the mother of two adopted Deaf adult children and an adopted adult daughter with a non-apparent disability.

A personal trainer, Kelley has used running as a form of self-care for more than 40 years. In November 2025, she participated in Every Woman’s Marathon in Scottsdale, Arizona. She is currently training to run the City of Oaks Marathon in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Her book, “Our Lives Matter,” is an autobiographical account of her life and was republished in 2025.

Shanice Parker is a mental health advocate, speaker, and founder of Speak Life Loud. She believes the words we speak have the power to shape the lives we live. Through storytelling, community engagement, and creative expression, she encourages others to cultivate self-love, resilience, and authentic growth.

Leo Wilder

Leo Wilder

Mx. Leo Wilder (they/them) is a nonbinary parent of four who has worked in education for the past decade as both a special education teacher and an administrator in private and public school settings. Leo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Illinois Springfield.

Lee mas

Leo is passionate about educating parents, teachers, and students about nervous system regulation, embracing neurological and gender differences, and fostering inclusive and understanding communities.
