Western Springs Site Closing

Pillars Community Health has sold the building at 1023 Burlington Avenue in Western Springs. As a result of this sale, we will be moving out by July 2021.

Pillars Community Health has sold the building at 1023 Burlington Avenue in Western Springs. As a result of this sale, we will be moving out by July 2021. Our Board of Directors, with advice from executive leadership, has decided to close our Western Springs location as part of a larger facilities plan to better focus service sites  in the communities most in need of access. Clients have been informed the last day of services at this location will be June 18, 2021. All services and staff will be relocated by that time to provide continuity and limit disruption of services. It is important to note that we are NOT leaving the Western Springs community; we are just closing our location there. We will not close any programs or stop any services. We will continue to operate out of all of our other sites, including our location at nearby 23 Calendar Avenue in La Grange. Buddy’s Place, which is currently operating virtually, plans to return to the Presbyterian Church of Western Springs in the fall. Staff are working to ensure a smooth transition for all of our clients who previously received services out of the Western Springs location.

Pillars Community Health has been providing services to residents of Western Springs throughout our history. The locations of our service sites have been assembled through various mergers over the last 100 years. Location decisions that were made in the past may not serve the needs of our patients and clients in our catchment areas moving forward. We have performed extensive research into area needs and census data to help us more strategically locate service sites, to provide access to care where people need it, when they need it. Our board members and executive leadership are working on a comprehensive space planning assessment to determine the best locations for teams and services across our sites and catchment area.

Pillars Community Health remains committed to helping people gain access to the care they need, when they need it. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us at 708-PILLARS (708-745-5277) if you have any questions or concerns.
