What Is Outpatient Mental Health?
Mental health includes a person’s emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. Whether you’re currently experiencing emotional wellness or noticing symptoms of a mental illness, it’s important to know that help is available. One in four Americans has a diagnosable mental illness, yet many do not seek or receive treatment. At Pillars Community Health, we work with more than 5,000 individuals each year to address a wide range of mental health needs through our outpatient mental health services.
Our mission is to give all people, regardless of their ability to pay or their current state of well-being, access to supportive programs that encourage stability, health, and independence. We also integrate care with our Community Health Centers, ensuring that patients visiting us for primary care can easily access behavioral health services, including our outpatient mental health and counseling programs.
Nuestros Servicios
Our mental health outpatient programs provide a range of therapeutic options to support individuals of all ages, including:
Servicios Salud Mental Ambulatorios
Our outpatient mental health program is designed for children, adults, and families looking to improve overall well-being and functioning. Through office-based, home-based, and community-based therapy, our licensed clinicians utilize evidence-based practices to address concerns like anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. Whether you are searching for guidance close to home or simply want to maintain a sense of normalcy while receiving treatment, our outpatient setting offers flexibility to accommodate your schedule and preferences.
Servicios de Salud Mental para la Infancia y la Infancia Temprana
Children’s mental health needs can look very different from those of adults, and early intervention plays a crucial role in preventing long-term issues. Pillars Community Health provides specialized mental health services for children, including those in early childhood. Our therapists use age-appropriate techniques such as play therapy to help children learn healthy ways to express emotions, cope with stress, and build resilience. This family-focused approach ensures parents and caregivers have the resources and support they need to foster a nurturing environment at home.
Servicios para Adultos de la Tercera Edad
For adults age 60 and older, Pillars Community Health offers therapy and case management in the home, in our offices, and out in the community. These services address age-related concerns such as isolation, chronic illness, caregiving responsibilities, and grief. Our staff is experienced in helping older adults navigate complex issues while supporting autonomy and well-being. By tailoring services to each individual, we aim to preserve quality of life and assist seniors in staying connected to their communities.
All treatment starts with an assessment of symptoms. To create an environment of ongoing support, our clinicians then make a plan for each client individually to determine how often the client should be seen, suggest ways to cope, and create external support.

Rompiendo con el Estigma
Mental illness is more common than many people realize—one in four Americans has a diagnosable mental illness. Yet two-thirds of those individuals go without treatment, often because of misconceptions or fear of judgment. At Pillars Community Health, we believe one of the best ways to combat this stigma is through education. We regularly offer presentations, attend health fairs, and form community partnerships to increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues. By working together to change perceptions, we can encourage more individuals to seek the help they need, whether that’s outpatient mental health services or other support programs.
If you or a loved one is seeking treatment for mental health concerns, we welcome you to contact Pillars Community Health. Together, we can work toward your goals, support your independence, and help you build a healthier, more balanced life.
