Places to Donate Items
Here are some places that may take donated items in the Chicago suburbs.
The Hope Chest
The Hope Chest es una tienda sin fines de lucro que contribuye el 100% de sus ventas a nuestro albergue de violencia doméstica. The Hope Chest está ubicado en 305 W. Hillgrove in La Grange (708-482-0359). Aceptan ropa ligeramente usada para mujeres y niños, zapatos, bolsos y joyería.
Sharing Connections
Sharing Connections es una organización separada que acepta artículos donados y los distribuye a familias que los necesitan. Sharing Connections está ubicado en 5111 Chase Avenue en Downers Grove (630-971-0565). La organización acepta muebles para hogar, muebles para bebé y ciertos aparatos electrodomésticos que funcionen y estén en buen estado. Ellos pueden recoger los donativos (pero no aceptan muebles para oficina, ni equipo de ejercicio).
Nuestro albergue de violencia doméstica, Constance Morris House, may be able to accept some donated items. Please call our Philanthropy team at 708-745-5277 to see if your item can be accepted.
The Rotary Club of La Grange
For the past two years, the Rotary Club of La Grange and Park District of La Grange have continued a tradition begun about 30 years ago by legacy organization Community Nurse. To encourage health care prevention, the groups donated holiday gifts to our Health Center patients. Patients must have had a preventive visit within the last year to qualify.
