Supervising Therapist

** Seeking 2 candidates!  We have added an additional supervisor to support the growth of the Behavioral Health program. **

SUMMARY

Provides clinical supervision to Behavioral Health staff in their day-to-day processes and job responsibilities. Provides outpatient mental health assessment and treatment services to a caseload of clients via telehealth and in-person at the office, or in the community depending on the needs of the clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises behavioral health therapists, provides clinical support, supervision and consultation to support and broaden staff skill levels.
  • Monitors compliance within electronic health record, with funding sources and administrative tasks.
  • Orients and trains new and existing staff as needed.
  • Completes evaluations and all required supervisory paperwork for staff within service area.
  • Ensures staff attendance at Pillars Community Health all-staff meetings as well as all other required meetings.
  • Maintains a small outpatient mental health caseload; provides individual, family, or group therapy to a caseload of clients as determined by program needs.
  • Completes mental health assessments in order to formulate an accurate diagnosis and comprehensive treatment interventions to serve the identified client and family.
  • Determines frequency, duration and intensity of treatment, and develops treatment plans.
  • Assesses and stabilizes high risk individuals and/or families.
  • Works in collaboration with other agency programs and staff.
  • Coordinates with other community agencies and organizations such as DCFS, schools, hospitals, other providers in the community as needed.
  • Provides case management services as defined in the service plan that coordinate, support, and advocate for clients who need multiple services and require assistance in gaining access to and in using mental health, social, vocational, educational, child welfare, and other community services and resources.
  • Responds to clients and/or family needs outside of regularly scheduled session times as needed.
  • Provides services on-site, in-homes, and off-site at community partners (including schools, police stations, etc.) where appropriate.
  • Provides crisis support to clinics as needed (Crises should take priority over regular sessions).
  • Ensures completion of all agency required paperwork and documentation for all clients.
  • Coordination with other program Supervisors, Coordinators and Directors as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.  Supervisory experience required. LCPC/LCSW/LMFT required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required for 1 of the 2 positions.
