Today, the organization is building on that legacy by expanding its Mobile Crisis Response services, introducing a new, easy-to-remember crisis phone number\u2014<\/span><a href=\"tel:+17086274747\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">708-6-CRISIS (708-627-4747)<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u2014and celebrating five decades of crisis intervention services that began in 1976 through its predecessor agencies.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The expansion will bring\u00a0Pillars Community Health\u00a0Mobile Crisis Response\u00a0to\u00a0additional\u00a0communities across suburban Cook County, increasing access to\u00a0timely, trauma-informed behavioral health care for children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing a mental health crisis.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">&#8220;Every person deserves someone to answer the call during a behavioral health crisis,&#8221; said\u00a0<\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Lanita Higgs-Jackson, President and CEO of Pillars Community Health<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">. &#8220;For 50 years, our organization has stood beside individuals and families during some of life&#8217;s most difficult moments. What began through predecessor organizations as local crisis counseling has grown into a comprehensive crisis response system that includes 24-hour telephone crisis support, Mobile Crisis Response, crisis stabilization, care coordination, and connections to ongoing behavioral health and community services.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The newly launched\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"tel:+17086274747\"><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">708-6-CRISIS (708-627-4747)<\/span><\/b><\/a><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u00a0phone number provides residents with\u00a0a simple way\u00a0to reach trained behavioral health professionals 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The local crisis line complements the national 988 Suicide &amp; Crisis Lifeline by connecting callers with clinicians who know the communities they serve and can dispatch Mobile Crisis Response teams when\u00a0appropriate.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Mobile Crisis Response brings trained behavioral health professionals directly to individuals wherever they are\u2014at home, at school, or elsewhere in the community\u2014to assess the situation, de-escalate the crisis, and connect them with\u00a0appropriate care.
