Bilingual Call Center Operator


Provides excellent customer service by operating telephone system to relay incoming and interoffice calls throughout the agency. Assists with front desk reception coverage.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Performs other duties as assigned.

Call Center:

  1. Answers telephones in a welcoming and helpful manner as the initial access point to the agency.
  2. Understands the range of services/programs Pillars Community Health offers to direct callers to the appropriate person and/or program.
  3. Follows agency protocol for crisis calls, including data entry and dispatching pages to crisis team.
  4. Schedules or cancels appointments as needed.
  5. Communicate pertinent office updates to reception and front desk staff across all sites


  1. Answers telephones and routes calls to proper personnel.
  2. Greets and checks in clients and visitors.
  3. Receives payments from clients and issues receipts for payment.
  4. Sensitive to the special needs of crisis and walk-in clients.
  5. Balances the day’s client payments and secures the cash box.
  6. Follows office opening and closing procedures.
  7. Assists with occasional data entry, filing or other clerical duties.

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). At least 1-2 years of related experience. Prior experience in a psychiatric or medical office setting preferred. Ability to multi-task yet pay attention to detail. Good computer skills; working knowledge of MS-Office products. Strong interpersonal skills. Some experience with an Electronic Health Record.


Must be Bilingual (English/Spanish).
